He has worked as a journalist and broadcaster in the field of politics, biography, travel and education, and is the author of over 20 books. He is a regular contributor to The Times as a book reviewer and serializer.

The Statesman`s Yearbook 2012

If you are interested in international relations/politics, this is a good book to start. It contains a more generalized view of countries and their politics/history/social/economic relations, and is factually-based. If you are like me and not interested in opinions, but facts, you should like this. However, if you require a more detailed view of countries, try the Europa World Yearbook.
