About the Author
Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth Dhanush is a film director and a start-up entrepreneur. She is the daughter of the legendary actor Rajinikanth and is married to Dhanush, also one of India's best-known actors. She is the mother of two boys. She lives in Chennai, India. Aishwaryaa is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer (recognized by the state government for the same in 2009), a voracious reader and a passionate writer. In August 2016, she was appointed as UN Women's Advocate for gender equality and women's empowerment in India. Standing on an Apple Box is her first book.

A Half-Way Catharsis!

A reasonably good attempt for a novice writer. An easy read. Somewhat a half way catharsis I would say. As a big fan of both her dad and husband, one does not really get to really know either of them through this book though she has a unique vantage point to do so. A complete description of her dad and how his typical day would look like or any special anecdotes only she can tell would have been useful - no i don't mean the usual cinema gossips but just the man and how he is as a person. It was there but not deep enough.. the treatment was somewhat superficial. The husband receives the same treatment. I am sure she will develop as a better writer in her next few books - she is intelligent and determined to make a mark in the world! Best wishes to Aishwarya Rajinikanth Dhanush.

A perfect read!

Many of us are curious to know about the lives of celebrity but what this book reveals, is a whole new world- the lives of celebrities' kids and that too rajini's Daughter! It becomes so relatable and you wonder how life is similar in terms of hardships that all kids, teenagers go through. Kudos to writer aishwarya rajinikanth!
And my fav parts were about the lungi fashion in Paris and the description of the shooting sets! Totally enjoyed every chapter in this book!!
